Confirm what was actually built

As-built information, equipment records and asset identifiers should reflect the installed asset, not only the design intent.

Transfer maintainable information

Manuals, warranties, inspection records, commissioning information and spare-parts data should be organized for future users.

Load the asset systems

New assets should enter the register, maintenance program and document repository before project teams disappear.

Close unresolved items visibly

Deficiencies, seasonal testing and outstanding documentation should have owners and due dates.

Scope. This page explains asset-management concepts, not operating procedures for critical infrastructure. Inspection methods, intervention thresholds and safety decisions must follow the asset owner’s standards, local rules and qualified professional judgement.
